0.33.0 search areas bug
« on: November 17, 2010, 12:37:26 AM »
Hello,
I have mistakenly reduced at his maximum the width of the binsearch search area. Then it was impossible to expand it again :

And it's the same problem with all other search engines. When it occurs in config.abz the "SearchWidth" value is set to 15 or 17. If it changed to 250 for example, the search area recovers it original size.

Hi,

Same problem here, with 0.33.4 (on win 7 64)

I was really happy to find your post when I also mistakenly reduced the width of the "Search for" input field !

I'm running the lastest version 0.38.5 and have the same problem ... actually I caused the problem in a previous version ... thought I'll upgrade and that will fix it ... which it didn't :-(

Found your post, however, in config.abz I can't find the "SearchWidth" value.  Any suggestions?  I was thinking about deleting the config.abz file and hoping that would reset things.

help!

Thank you.

renamed config.abz to config.abz.broken ... started alt.binz ... didn't fix it ... is there a different config file for 38.x ???

thanks again.

Nope. Same file as always. For the location of the config - see FAQ

For width this is example for binsearch:
Code: [Select]
[BSTB]
BSTB1SearchWidth=391
BSTB3GroupsWidth=262
BSTB4FilterWidth=122
