search bar "always on top" type option?
« on: April 22, 2012, 05:33:27 PM »
Not sure if I am explaining this properly, but here goes.

Was wondering if possible to have the cursor automatically positioned in the search for box (currently only use nzbindex, but assume similar for all) when click on that tab.

Also I notice that if I move the mouse (not click) below into the subject, size, file... area, the cursor is automatically unselected from the search bar.  Was wondering if it would be possible to keep the search from area selected until something else is actually clicked upon?

I find that will do a search, then move my mouse either to another program or slightly away and the bar will become unselected.  Does this make any sense?

See Setup > User Interface, first two options:

'Focus on search combo when switching tabs'
'Auto focus on main control in tabs'

Try playing with those.

Thanks. Unchecked auto focus on main tabs.  Seems to have done the trick.

Wouldn't have guessed that option being the culprit. From the title, figured it would have been the other way around.
