Title: 0.27.2 - Loses download queue everytime I close the program
Post by: igiddyuup on April 29, 2008, 02:24:47 pm
There seems to be a bug with 0.27.2 and vista 64. Every time I close altbinz it loses my downloads.  However, all my recent searches are saved, and the par2 list is saved;
but my "current" download list is gone, and replaced by two old things I downloaded about a month ago.

installed to c:\program files (x86)\altbinz\

Check the directory where the temp files are being stored. I noticed when I first installed it on my vista x64 it put the temp file and all the configuration files in a temporary directory. Thought maybe it was something i did. I moved all the config files to the proper directory and changed the temporary file directory within the program.

The queue is saved in the misc/queue.abz file, for which Alt.Binz needs write access.  That should be in your user directory on Vista if UAC is enabled.  If you're having problems, try installing Alt.Binz outside of Program Files.

same problem, and installing somewhere else did the job, thx! (sometimes i hate vista...).
Is there any faq that may be updated with this info? Could be handy as more and more ppl will change to vista over time.

There's always room for more stuff in the wiki :)  I don't use Vista and don't plan to, so I wouldn't be much help.
