If I queue a bunch of NZBs to download with auto-unrar on. Alt.Binz causes some crazy shit to happen, namely DIB Handle error that cannot be closed and multiple replication of files resulting in a full Harddrive of useless files.
I'm not sure what's happening in the background but the symptoms include files being replicated hundreds of times with renaming e.g.
fileabc.r01
fileabc.r01x
fileabc.r01xx
fileabc.r01xxx
fileabc.r01xxxx
etc....
eventually my HD fills and Alt.Binz reports error messages like DIB Handle blah blah blah.
This doesn't happen if I queue up less than 3 NZBs. Any more and the likelihood of it occuring increases logarithmically. Anyone else seen this issue?

Make sure your autoimport directory is not the same as your default download directory (otherwise downloads may loop). If this isn't the problem: check your log for errors messages and report back on what you find.

I believe this happens with earlier vesions as i had the same issue,
check to make sure that u dont manually import the NZB files and then let the autoimport feature import the NZB files as i know this was my issue and was resolved by upgrading to latest version.
:)
hope this helps,

I'm using v0.27 and the autoimport from directory checkbox is not checked.
The log files gives me exception warnings such as this:
[1/14/2008 11:28:52 PM] [Dec] Exception Access violation at address 004ECA43 in module 'altbinz.exe'. Read of address 0074F000

Can you please confirm what version you're using by clicking on the About button on the main toolbar?

If you have Kaspersky or a similar avp then plz exclude alt.binz from checking for threats.

where did you get that from?
