Title: no decoding on some files
Post by: robbie13 on September 07, 2009, 08:46:47 pm
hi,

i'm using altbinz 0.31.2 / XP SP3

there's sometimes a problem decoding files (not only in this version).

Please verify:
1. Search for "So wird's gemacht".
2. Add "So wird's gemacht! 63v63 ..." to queue (or any other file of that tv-series) and start download

Altbinz starts download. Sais "Decoding", but only very few (par-)files will be decoded, most of them stay in queue and nothing happens.

this is an old problem. is there a known workaround?
or is this a bug?

just tried it! used the nzb from newzleech worked just fine... the decoding just takes longer because the single file is abou 220 MB instead of 40 or 50...

davidq666 you've lost. 1:0 for rdl.   ;)

it's the long path+filename. rdl, can you please put something like a verification in the code? the length of suggested names for the path should be reduced too.

btw: this is just for telling you, there's something more wrong in the code. i'm sorry, but i can't give a detailed description and the log sais nothing. while testing everything i've played around with the connect+pause button (start&stop sometimes). this leads to very horrible situations. i can't reproduce this for the forum. maybe you can try to find it out by taking the opportunity and doing the same if you have the time. i've add 3 of those files to queue. with a little luck, you get the same effects and can verify those issues:
- crash of altbinz
- frozen altbinz (have to kill it by taskmanager)
- most times: active connections were reduced from 4 (4 allowed) to 1
of course not everytime but quite often.
i use a very fast connection (dsl 50) at a very fast server (bintube).
