as the title says..
support for gzip compression in the rss reader would be great.
e.g. http://www.binsearch.info/rssfeed.php requires gzip compression.

Binsearch feeds already work fine with Alt.binz RSS if you use the right url (not rss.binsearch.net).  Try this one for example:

http://www.binsearch.net/rss.php?max=50&g=alt.binaries.multimedia

Edit: actually, rss.binsearch.net does work, I'm just having a brain fart.

Yes, I can confirm gzip is enabled for binsearch. If you are still having problems I suggest you check your firewall. It's known that some of them filter some of the Content strings alt.binz is sending.

it's somehow strange since just some binsearch feeds seem not to work.
with
http://www.binsearch.net/rss.php?max=50&g=alt.binaries.multimedia
it's allright, but
http://www.binsearch.net/rss.php?max=50&g=alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.complete_cd
doesn't work.
