Note the title of this thread.  The latest version is 0.28.2.

Caymen:
So the answer is yes? Since I am using 0.25.0 and I donate, I get upgraded to 0.28.2?

Tom

Hecks:
If you upgrade to 0.28.2, you'll notice that, as this thread reports, Newzleech search doesn't work.  I don't know how it can get any clearer than that.

On the other hand, all the other search engines work fine in 0.28.2.  And there's a lot more to 0.28.2, since 0.25.0 is over a year old now ....

Have a look through the version history to see tha improvements, changes and fixes since 0.25.0:

I don't use the built in search engines so hadn't noticed that - I think RDL should release a somewhat newer version as the free one.  If people download 0.25 and it "doesn't work" they are more likely to just go and download another app.  IMO altbinz is too good for that to happen to; it should be adopted as the standard newsleeching prog.  =]

It also means less donations for rdl, if people don't give the program a chance they will never donate.

Speaking on my own behalf,  I think your comment is just rubbish my friend.
The free 25.0 version is more then a year old. The developer released it at that time as a fully working program and lots of people used it since. Lots of them showed their appreciation with a contribution for a program, you will never find an equal!
Lots of them used the program as it is since, for free. That's anybodies choice, like yours and others in this thread.
But now, because some parts of that free version are going crumbled, begging for a newer *free* release, is a very piteous way some people live their lives.

Just my 2 cents.

Regards, Gompy
