Hi there been having great problems with my new setup my old system had a setup of

xp sp2
1700+ athlon
ide 160gb
768mb ddr 266Mhz
10mb internet speed (would top out at around 1150-1200 most of the time)

evrything came down with no problems what so ever then i upgrade all my system to

xp sp2
4400+ 64 x2 daul core
Sata 250gb
2gb ddr2 800Mhz daul line 128bit
20mb internet speed (tops around 2100-2400 on a good day)

now everything (and i mean everything) comes down CRC corrupted i can salvege around 15-20 percent of my downloads through par2 unziping on an external hard drive i have reinstalled xp sp2 a couple of times just incase it was a bad install i am a bit of a noob in the fact it could just be a setting problem in the program itself my next step is to put the old system back together i still have the parts around and run that and see if that system still works and run things from there. i have tryed limeting the down speed to say 90% and my speed drops to 25-40kb eh!! the same thing happens at any percent and when i set the down speed in the settings tab

any help would be appeciated on this will post a comment when i get the old system up and running to see if the problems have migrated Cheers Chris

" now everything (and i mean everything) comes down CRC corrupted" .

Crappy memory?
Rebuild your old system and we'll see.

Indeed.
Run memtest or memtest+ (google) and find out if your memory is corrupted
