Title: Problem downloading a file
Post by: kennyq on September 27, 2009, 10:02:00 am
Hello, I've been trying to download a file and for some reason it won't open. I'm able to save the file to my computer but when I double click the file to open it in Alt Binz the file does not appear but disappears from my saved location. I'm using the lastest version, any help would be great.

You really are going to need to give us more info than that.  What type of file?  Which location? What happens when you Start->Search for the file?

it could be a zip-file that can be opened within the alt.binz explorer

Hey Hecks, thanks for the reply. This is the link for the file I'm trying to download: http://www.sendspace.com/file/0r5esb (http://www.sendspace.com/file/0r5esb)

I've isolated the problem and I'm able to finally download this file. I have a firefox add on which is suppose to accelerate my download called firedownload. I noticed the option was tick and everytime I tried to download this the download size was only 29.5kB which should have been over 3.00MB. I unchecked the option and I'm now able to download it as it now shows up in altbinz.
