Any faster host than xlned that allows sharing?
« on: February 04, 2010, 04:29:12 PM »
I have a 28mbit line but with 5-10 threads I only get 2MB/s which is about 50% of my limit and this is with the Gold which should give 120mb download.

Do anyone have some other provider to suggest? Rentation time matters though

If they offer 120mbit and you only get like max 20 (right?), did you ask them what's wrong? Or maybe your ISP is messing with your NNTP connection.

I have tried contacting them now, hope it can be fixed I have a thread limit of 240apparenlty which is low when I only have 40ms ping time.

Your current bandwidth reading is:

1.88 Mbps

which means you can download at 240.21 KB/sec from our servers.

Please note that this is a single-threaded test. Usenet uses
multiple threads so your download speed is likely to be higher.

Our services might be of interest to you, since we allow account sharing and do not limit throughput. Send me a PM and I'll set up a free ($0.29/GB) account for speed testing, if you like. Best to use us in addition to xlned though, since we're not geared to unlimited usage.
