0.31.* - Balloon Hints on bottom status bar

All the balloon hints on the bottom status bar show the same text 'Free space on unrar drive'

Can't reproduce that, all show the info expected here (with the Office 2007 skin).

changing skin doesn't re-enable the balloon hints (normally using Win7)

Machine specs: Asus Terminator C3 / VIA Samuel 2 / 800 MHz / 2GB / WinXP SP2

this may be related to the the 'integrated/shared video memory' (VIA/S3 UniChrome IGP) of the machine design

I have the tooltips bug too, version 0.31.4. No matter which item on the status bar I point at, the tooltip always says "Free space on unrar drive". Windows 7 theme, tho running it on WinXP Pro.

I can report that 0.31.5 also displays the wrong tooltips when pointing the mouse at the status bar, regardless of which skin is selected.

Interesting, I found out what the topic starter means. I never hover the statusbar, so I never notice it. Honestly, it doesn't bother me. But below is a screenshot

Could you try with clean config with both maximized and windowed?

Ok, tested it. So apparently it's not an error on alt.binz side in the sense that a clean config shows all balloon tips as they're supposed to be. Too bad I'm too lazy to redo my config in a new install. On the other side, It doesn't bother me at all

But at least now the TS also knows what the solution is

Did you save old config?

If yes, could you delete all non statusbar related, confirm it's not working and then send it to me.

Yeah, I put my old config back. I did what you asked.. It's interesting, if I delete everything except for the Statusbar items (and my login ofcourse), then all balloon tooltips are correct!

Unfortunately I'm not able to further experiment, since I have a couple of deadlines tomorrow. But should it be needed, I should be able to help after tomorrow.

v0.31.6: as mentioned in other bug thread, I have the same issue. Did a fresh install, so a fresh config file (xml). RDL asked to sent him the config file, but I want first to check a number of things.

Using v0.31.6 Win 7 skin on a XP Pro SP3, Intel Quadcore Q6600 with 4GB DRAM and 8800 GTS 512MB videocard. I am also going to install AltBinz 0.31.6 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 dualboot (on same pc) and see what it does there. Perhaps skin related?

Again: no mayor issue, just cosmetic.

I'm using 31.6 and all mouseovers on the taskbar show unrar drive space only too.  I don't think 31.5 did this but the latest version does.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional 64bit with default windows 7 skin

PS: A mate of mine just checked his as well , his does the same , and he's using Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit
