Error checking login data
« on: July 10, 2009, 05:48:54 AM »
I recently had a HD crash on my Vista box, so I decided to install altbinz on my MacOS using VMware.  VMWare is running Windows XP Sp3.  Everytime I load up Altbinz, it does not get pass the authentication box.  I get the error: <time> Error while checking login data.  Retrying in 2 minutes.
I can [X] the box close, but can not connect to astraweb.

Is this an issue to VMWARE/Win Xp  or is this an issue with one license donation per user-id, per computer?  Any help would be great.  Thanks in advance.

Okay that did the trick... thanks Rdl.

apparently, Symantec Endpoint Protection automatically blocks all incoming and outgoing traffic by default.  Did not know, all I did was add altbinz.exe as an exception to the policy and works like a charm.  keep up the good work mate.
