Foechoer presents: My TvNZB rss v2.0

http://MyTvNZB.foechoer.be

What is it?
This personal generated feed will automaticly show new NZBs of your favorite shows.
It is based on TvNZB's "New Files'-feed but is filtered to show only your selection of shows.

How do I use it?
Using it is very simple;

1) Choose if you want x264 or not.
2) Select the shows you want to watch.
3) Click on "Generate Feed".

You will get a RSS-url,  this you can use in your favorite RSS-reader.
The items in the feed wil contain the NZB.

The good thing is:  it works in Alt.Binz  ;D

So, since you posted it here as well - and ignoring for a moment the ads on your site - perhaps you could explain the advantages of relying on a filtered feed generated by your server rather than going straight to tvnzb.com and using native Alt.Binz filters?  Or using other customizable feeds that actually search rather than filter for results?

Hint: tvbinz(DOT)net/index.php?view=help -> 'RSS Feeds'

no offense Foechoer, but there is a small problem with "your" feed: the nzbs on tvnzb are uploaded from users, so you have to rely that they do it correct... It is a fact that only ~80-90% are uploaded with the correct name and the correct section (new/old)

Thanks for the replies..

The filter generated here is filter by the "show_id" on TvNZB, so there can be no question like: "is it really this show?"
The native Alt.Binz filter might be more difficult to use for people new to usenet;  this way the only filter is:    * | A.

Why i'm not using TvBinz.net;  I didn't knew it until now :P   so thanks for the hint

no offence taken,  :)
I am aware the nzbs are uploaded by users, but all the people checking tvnzb.com every day seem te be happy with it
however I don't know what info you have to say your 80-90% a real fact,
What I can say is that for the shows i'm watching, it has always worked.

It works because the editors change the titles and the show info (when they're about).  I can confirm this because I watch the live feed and I used to be an editor (actually I think I still am :)).  It's otherwise almost completely reliant on 1 or 2 regular posters who know what they're doing. When they're away, TVNZB basically grinds to a halt.

TVBINZ was created out of frustration with this aspect of TVNZB, and also the other niggles, like: frequent dupes, only poster 'favourites' regularly available (hence very little x264), whole seasons not split into separate NZBs, nukes not removed from feed, no NFOs, no way of inspecting NZB contents,  non-customizable feeds, IND posts, etc. etc.  TVNZB still has its place, of course ... ;)

didn't knew all this.. thanks for the info.

I could say i'm a simple response to TvNZB too then..
My filter is like the costumized feed, filter for nukes..   the dupes however are still there (it's on my to-do list)
however still depending on TvNZB... and, based on your description, the regular posters and editors who know what the're doing.

Help!

I have this setup and it downloads the nzb but they are blank inside when i view them in notepad?!
What am I doing wrong?
I have the filters setup and it refreshes and shows the shows that it downloads the nzbs for but they dont work.
Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
I would really like to get this going, I have tried several times before to get rss feeds working and I feel like I am close to getting it, just need to know what I am doing wrong from someone knowledgeable.

 Thanks
