Authentication issue (Switching to another server)
« on: March 04, 2018, 09:34:36 AM »
Good day everyone,

I've been using Alt.Binz for years now without any issues.

Today i came to open it and i got an Authentication window pop-up.

In the "Response" section it's written "Switching to another server (2/2). Press check button again.

It's the first time i encounter that issue, if i click Check, it writes the same message but 1/2. I tried changing the password, but it didn't change anything. Tried un-packing the latest version again (maybe corrupt files), same issue.

Tried searching the forums but no one mentioned having that issue.

The only recent change I've made to my setup is that I've switched from a commercial router to home built pfSense. Not sure if it's interfering with the authentication process (maybe some firewall rules are needed).

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Offline Rdl

Last time you've authenticated was over 15 days ago. That means request for authentication never came. Why is that is for you to figure out, but I guess you're already on the right track.

I solved it,

It was actually a setting in AltBinz, I had enabled Proxy for HTTP connections but for some reason it was stopping the authentication.

I'll have to see if it's the router blocking it or the option itself but once i unchecked the option it worked instantly.

we'll see, at least it solved for now.

Thank you,
