HELLO PEOPLE,..............VERY NEWBEE here , could any one possibly help me
i am soo confused.......i have a telstra cable connection in australia and i am trying to use altbinz....... but no luck . i have dwnlded the prog and set it up as advised.i am having problems connecting to a newgroup. when i use the prog i can type in a qyery in any of the tabs(yabse binsearch etc..and i get lots of hits.eg star trek )my problem is it starts of connecting and then says could not connect .....so i guess my problem is with the server info. what EXACTLY DO I PUT in there...my guess is that in name i can put my name or darthvader or suzi q or whatever {or my mainserver} but in the address i put in news-server.bigpond.net.au........am i wrong there.do i have to setup a newsgroup first in outlook. i thought since i have a permanent cable connection all i have to do is set up altbinz to access that connection....i/m so stupid or too clever to see the light can any one help
i have looked at all the posts and the two links and thousands of other pages and stuff etc etc
but i cant seem to connect and download
please help ( in a small mousy voice)

thanks ....the log doesnt have any numbers ......although i did get a 403 some months ago ....it just says could not connect.i am using norton internet security.i am getting closer but i cant seem to figue it out.........do i have to put in useername and password anywhere.thanks
