I was considering moving to a news server that has SSL Encrytion but it indicates that you need a news client that can is SSL aware.  Sooo my question is, is alt.binz SSL aware?   :D [/b]

Is there some way to tell if your connection is encrypted? Like on web pages that have an SSL conx, there is a little lock displayed on IE.

Contact your usenet provider. Take a look at their website. As far as I know the only way to check it. Besides checking the SSL box in the setup and making a connection.
