I am a noobie to newsgroups etc. I installed alt.binz and thought that I would use my ISP newsgroup to give it a try. 2 things I need help with 1. I ger a prompt in bottom left hand corner of set-up page telling me that the program needs to be restarted and 2. when I put the name of my server (which doesnt require a username / password) it does not remain in the set up page. Please advise.

OK now thanks

"*" is not prompt but just a reminder that tweaking options marked with * requires restart of the program. You fill up your server detailes and then click 'Add as primary'.

Thanks for that. Did get it up and running - what a surprise for an old git like me.
I was succesful with music but not so on a PS2 game. It appeared to DL but just disappeared to who knows where. Not in the DL folder like the music. Any ideas. Did it need to repair but couldn't because PAR was not installed (I though it installed automatically with the prog, Right?)

Check the log. Probably numerous 430 errors (article not on server)

You either import nzb file directly or via 'Add to queue' function on some search tab

In few short steps:

You enter server properties. Click connect button. Go into the one of the search tabs. Set search days in relation to your server retention. Enter beatles. Wait a few seconds for results. Select what you want, right mouse click, add to queue. And in a few seconds downloading will start.

Dear Hecks,

What is hecks short for anyway?? Heckler???

Thanks for willing to be helpful by taking the time to post a reply where all you say is:

"LOL, that's all I have to contribute  :D "

I am sure that your attitude is NOT what the founders and sustainers of this forum had in mind for "phpbb"

BTW....I am LOL'ing at you now and your childishness!!

What's wrong...don't you have better things to do with your time than to lurk in places like this looking for people who are trying to learn something new so that you can HECKLE THEM????
