Is there a way to get par function to rescan the download the directory to get it to notice any new files that I might manually have copied to the directory while the download was going on?

It does this automatically for as long as the par2 set is listed on the tab, and repair/unar is not completed.  You can also set the option in Setup > PAR2 to recheck all par2 sets on restart.

No. It does not - that is why I asked.

I can only do that. So its necessary to stop and start again then?

Delete par2 set from tab and import it again

Yeah, I just deleted the files. But would that recheck all components?

How about a refresh option, which does not recheck already checked files, but adds any totally new files which have appeared? :)

Sorry, you're right - only works for new downloads, not manual copy, without restart option or as rdl suggested.

Of course restarting then rechecks already checked parts, and that seems like a waste of processing power.
