Need some help with TvNZB

I read another post about how to set this up and for some reason (me?) I can't seem to get this to work correctly.  Where do you enter the filters?  Directly into the ABZ file or in the left column?  When I press the timer buton, is the timer on when everything is grayed out.  If someone could lead me through a working setup, I would really be a happy camper! :)

You edit filters in box which appears when you press filters button. Then you setup list to new, press refresh to refresh the new list and after it is refreshed press timer so all other controls are grayed out. Once list refreshes itself (10..60 min based on choosed interval) if there is new nzb and your filters accept it, nzb will be downloaded and imported into queue. If by any chance you're already connected :P it will download your favorite series automaticly without any user intervention.

I believe that's the way I did it.  When the list refreshed, nothing downloaded.  I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the reply. :)

I guess I'm definitely doing something wrong.  Can't get it to work at all.

This is what I put in the left panel:
Small* | A
Grey* | A
Stargate* | A

Just tried again and worked fine.  sorry for the bother and thanks! :D  :oops:

I pressume it 'worked' when you leaved list empty and pressed timer button. AFter 10 min list refreshed and since it was empty when you enabled timer all nzb files are new and filters did their job. Purpose is to leave the timer on during night and end up in the morning with all series downloaded and unpacked ;)

I seem to remember writing something on TvNZB for the Guide, where did Sc0tTy put that now? :P

Truly one of the greatest features of alt.binz = Usenet PVR!

I searched the forum for info on filters. Filters always seemed to mentioned along with TvNZB. Filters seem to work with the RSS feed that is selected so why are they always mentioned in connection with TvNZB?

There was no RSS tab when those messages were posted, only TvNZB tab.
