newbie: where did the download go?
« on: April 25, 2007, 08:50:55 AM »
Dear all,

I've installed Alt.Binz a few days ago, and configed the folders like this:
download-folder: F:\Audio_and_Video\__IN\_AltBinz-in
Temporary Folder: F:\Temp\AltBinz-temp
Default NZB-folder: C:\Program Files\AltBinz\nzb\
Auto import NZB files from: C:\Documents and Settings\Laura\Desktop

Then, I started my first download:
Last night, I tried to download a file. The file was called [GTA Complete Collection].
It slowly made progress, and this morning, the status-bar said '100%'.
Very well, so now it seems to be complete.

Only, there is no file in my download-folder, and none in my Temp-folder.
I do have the nzb-file in my nzb-folder, but no files.
I searched my computer for 'GTA', but nothing (only a few irrelevant results).
In AltBinz, tab PAR2: nothing.

In the last log-file, it says sopmething like
[25-4-2007 0:55:09] [T1] 430 430 no such article found <4625bae2$0$27181$9a6e19ea@unlimited.newshosting.com>
[25-4-2007 0:55:09] [T1] Article started 107/131 [11053]-[altbin@EFNet]-[FULL]-[GTR.2-RELOADED]-[34/44] - "rld-gtr2.rar" yEnc
[25-4-2007 0:55:10] [T2] Error 106/131 [11053]-[altbin@EFNet]-[FULL]-[GTR.2-RELOADED]-[34/44] - "rld-gtr2.rar" yEnc

for about 3000 times, so probably the whole thing just wasn't on the server anymore?
So why does AltBinz say '100%' then?

Am I doing something wrong?
Can you help me?

Thanx in advance!
Laura

As reported by log, server responded with 430 error. If you suspect files are there on the server, you should try 'Select group' option under server properties.

If you watched the progress (and I think you did cause you said it was slow) you should have noticed files are becoming red, which indicates articles are reported mising by server. Consider 100% as information that program processed 100% of articles with ending result beeing either download or missing article or something 3rd.
