unexpected end of archive.

Hello,

I used to use alt.binz on Windows XP Pro, for a long period of time, and i never encounterd any kind of problems with the downloading and extraction process. I now have Windows Vista Ultimate, and installed alt.binz, and proceeded to download various files.

The first file i downloaded (a movie) woudl not extract, and the diagnostic error i recieved from winrar was 'unexpected end of archive'.

I checked the settings of par2, and the auto repair was enabled, so i assumed that the downlaod was corrupt.

I downloaded a second movie, and again had the same errors, so i downloaded quickpar, which started to repair the files, but indicate dthat there was some missing block.

I thought that i had simply had bad luck on a second occasion. i then set a download queue for over 20Gb of various different files.

Once they had all downloaded they ALL had the same errors, would not extract, 'unexpected end of file' and quickpar told me that EVERY oen of the files had blocks missing. I know that one of my friends downloaded one of the files that i had, and extracted it fine. so i know i have an issue somewhere, and it cannot be that i have downloaded 26Gb worth of corrupt files.

i am thinking mayeb it is an issue or a setting i need to chaneg in vista somewhere?

has anone experienced a this or a similar problem, or could anyoen please give me some advice? as aforementioned i was using alt.binz for about 6 months on XP and never once had this problem.

Thank you in advance./
