Sample files I have set not to download and stay paused. Or I have deleted the paused sample files and sample files.par* files.

Problem When a set say .r## has only 19/20 blocks so needs repair the Par2 repair process downloads more par2.vols than is needed sometimes three or four par2.vols for 30 blocks where only needed is one file for one block. Anyway to stop this so only downloads what is needed based on altbinz settings, no sample files ever.

Or maybe it's a setting that already altbinz has that  have missed, if so please direct me to the setting

The same happens for other files .srr for example I have tested when then are also excluded same as sample files above. Normally sample files are external but older .rar 's have them internal for unknown reasons from many group releases. Maybe that is the way it used to be a decade or so ago ?

What do you have currently checked in Setup > Par2 > 'Unimportant files in PAR2 set'?

I can see where Hecks is going with this, try building a filter that ignores the sample files to add to that section, some trial and error might be needed to get the right wildcard option set
